We are a knowledge sharing network of global researchers capturing the stories of women leaders on the forefront of climate change.

Our public archive includes a collection of creative ethnographic, historical and archival research and oral histories.

Founded in 2024 by Dr. Peg Spitzer, CKCollective began as an extension of Dr. Spitzer’s book Empowering Female Climate Change Activists in the Global South: The Path Toward Environmental Social Justice. Inspired by the research in this book, CKCollective is a 501(c)(3) (Form 990) organization and is made up of a team of passionate interdisciplinary researchers, industry experts and artists all working on climate-related issues and with the core belief that women play a transformational role in climate solutions. Our research is centered on a feminist reflexive methodology that takes in to account not only the lived experiences of women but also their emotions, ideas and cultural context; all necessary ingredients to understand impact and identify solutions.

In 2020, Dr. Spitzer joined the jury of the Gender Just Climate Solutions award program, an initiative of the Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
