Art-Integrated Climate Resilience

Genevieve Gaiser Tremblay is a pioneering new media artist, creative technologist, and transdisciplinary researcher, globally recognized for her work at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Her approach employs inclusive, creative, and collaborative strategies to drive social and environmental outcomes.

In 2017, she co-founded ASKXXI: Arts + Science Knowledge Building and Sharing in the XXI Century, a US Embassy-funded public diplomacy program in Chile that fosters international collaboration in art, emerging technologies, and ecological sciences. This initiative led to her role as an Adjunct Researcher at the Coastal Social-Ecological Millennium Institute (SECOS), a transdisciplinary initiative of Chile’s Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation that contributes to coastal sustainability in Chile. At SECOS, she integrates participatory art practices with innovative technologies and scientific research to enhance community resilience and empower local stakeholders by bridging cultural and scientific understanding. Genevieve’s interdisciplinary research focuses on fostering communities of innovation by integrating participatory art practices and leveraging emerging digital technologies. Her work emphasizes knowledge building, narrative creation, and cross-cultural insights, contributing to transformative social and environmental initiatives.
