Anabella is a senior at Stony Brook University majoring in Environmental Studies and Climate Science, with a minor in Geospatial Science. Her academic interests are in the study of coupled human and natural systems, with a particular focus on environmental and social justice. Anabella is dedicated to understanding the complex interactions between society and the environment and aspires to positively influence the health and stability of the global community to create a more equitable and sustainable future.Throughout her academic journey, Anabella has explored the integration of technology in the environmental field, gaining hands-on experience with various GIS software and AI to address today’s pressing social and ecological challenges. Additionally, her leadership in sustainable outreach, internship at the NYSDEC’s Office of Environmental Justice, and research in climate change and public health while studying in Tanzania have all shaped her interdisciplinary and justice-centered approach to develop, communicate, and implement sustainable climate solutions. Anabella believes that tackling today’s climate crisis requires equitable, community-driven, and nature-based solutions. Driven by this passion, she works alongside the CKCollective team to further their mission in supporting environmental justice and climate action around the globe.
